Ross is currently CEO of Surfline\Wavetrak Inc. where he leads an international team of talented people who connect surfers to their passion and use technology to preserve coastal resources and save lives.
As a leader and and an early-stage investor in successful consumer product brands like Surfline, The Surfer’s Journal, Roark and Vertra, Ross has honed his sense for consumer products spanning software, media, apparel and cosmetics.
Prior to his role as CEO at Surfline, Ross served as VP of Product for the company, led business units and ultimately helped lead Surfline as its President. Over that time, he helped drive record growth, revenue, and engagement, forward-thinking product launches, strategic acquisitions, several key strategic partnerships, and intellectual property development which resulted in multiple patents being granted.
Ross stepped away from the day-to-day at Surfline in 2020 and worked as an advisor and fractional CPO for select high-growth businesses, while serving as Board Observer for Surfline\Wavetrak, Inc. He rejoined Surfline as CEO in late-2023, a position he holds today.
In addition to product and business strategy, through multiple investments, exits, financings and acquisitions, Ross has a field-earned sense for deal-making and financing and uses this skill to help companies map their product strategy to their resourcing realities, ultimately driving outcome and return for founders and shareholders.
